About the Author
J.D. May is a third-generation Texan and, true to her roots, her debut thriller FACTOR-7 introduces readers to Texas traditions, colloquialisms, and locales through her fictional but prophetic writing. The gripping story of FACTOR-7 offers a terrifying but relatable look at our possible present and future, and elicits in her readers reactions of pleasure, excitement, and fear of the unknown or the dreaded “what if ?”
She says that her characters speak to her and lead her to where they want to go, say, and do. Her husband, Buster, and adult daughter, Annlyn, fully support her writing, but sometimes jokingly say she should be put in a straight-jacket. Really, she’s been analyzed, and she checked out ok—promise!
She has traveled extensively and lived summers in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico—partially to escape the Texas unrelenting heat, but mainly for the beauty and inspiration she received while there. She loves Italy and Greece and draws upon experiences and people she knows in all these places she has lived, traveled, and loved in her novel FACTOR-7. She is a painter and is active with her fellow artists at the co-op gallery in Port Isabel, Texas. Family, dear friends, and her faith are and always will be her first priority, but second is her passion for writing and art. She and her husband are huge animal activists, feeding and caring for a tribe of loudmouth feral cats that aren’t so feral any more.
May is a member of the Authors Marketing Guild, and FACTOR-7 will be available through the Lector Store.
